Okay, during lockdown, couples are going to have more time on their hands. That means more sex is probably on the menu. Unfortunately, intimacy-related cancers are also likely to rise as a consequence.

The human papillomavirus virus (HPV) is normally flushed from a person’s body by the immune system, but there are HPV strains that can fester and trigger the onslaught of cancer.

That’s why the medical community is urging men and women to protect themselves from sexual behaviours that can result in an HPV-related cancer.
