Okay, it’s obvious that during lockdown, couples are going to have more time on their hands. That means that the likelihood of physical intimacy is on the rise. Unfortunately, sex-related cancers may increase as well.
The human papillomavirus virus (HPV) is the issue. It normally runs its course and is flushed from a person’s body by the immune system, but there are HPV strains that can fester and trigger the onslaught of cancer.
That’s why the medical community is urging men and women to protect themselves from sexual behaviours that can trigger an HPV-related cancer.
