If you’re single, social distancing has made finding a romantic partner an especially difficult undertaking.

But now that lockdown appears to be gradually coming to a end, the opportunity to find a sexual partner is welcome news.

Just keep this fact in mind: physical intimacy can increase your likelihood of being diagnosed with cancer.

The human papillomavirus (HPV) is the reason. HPV generally takes months to work its way through a person’s body, but in 10 to 20 percent of cases HPV can fester and mutate into cancer.

That’s why the medical community is cautioning men and women to protect themselves from particular sexual BEHAVIOURS that can eventually trigger an HPV-related cancer.
